$20/Hour Guaranteed – Day Shifts

Every day position at Miller's Downtown guarantees a minimum of $20/hour, calculated as your base hourly wage plus tips averaged across the workweek, consistent with federal and Virginia wage law. If your tips don't bring you to $20/hour for the week, we pay the difference. You keep every dollar you earn above that.

High-volume shifts with strong tip potential, especially on weekends and live music nights. Actual earnings vary by shift and performance.

Miller's Downtown has been a cornerstone of Charlottesville's live music and dining scene since 1980. We host live music seven nights a week and run one of the highest-volume outdoor cafés on the Historic Downtown Mall — fast-paced, high-energy, and never boring.

What You’ll Do

Take care of guests from arrival through check drop
Take accurate orders and deliver them efficiently
Know the menu and make solid recommendations
Handle payments via POS, cash, and card
Stay composed and communicate clearly during high-volume service

What We’re Looking For

Available nights, weekends, and late nights until 3:00 AM
Minimum 3 shifts per week
Fast, composed, and a team player
Comfortable in a loud, energetic live music environment
Serving experience is a plus — not required
